What we are

GameFormative finds something happening in sport, researches the evidence behind it, and explains what it changes: for an athlete, a coach, a club, a competition, a fan, a business, or the next decision.

Path: sport → evidence → understanding → consequence. We research like analysts, verify like fact-checkers, explain like teachers, and write like journalists. The reader should experience the journalism, not the machinery behind it.

What we are not

We are not trying to beat wire desks at breaking news. We are not an academic journal. We are not a sports-business consultancy. We are not a fact-checking site that exists to police other headlines. Named products and organisations appear for transparency: that is not a sales offer.

How we earn trust

• Rigour backstage. Clarity onstage. Open what we cite; record what we could not read.
• Every article ends with a Research record: sources used, sources investigated but not used, image credits, and mentioned entities when they appear.
• Evidence ceiling: the strength of the prose never exceeds the strength of the evidence. A plausible explanation is not a finding.
• Nothing goes live without a human accept. Automated drafting is labelled when used.

Corrections
